Superworm: Who does the vocals in the Christmas Day cartoon?

Superworm is the latest collaboration between Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler to air on the BBC over Christmas.

Superworm follows the main character and his pal, Butterfly, as they help the other animals in the garden. But, when it seems like there is no end to Superworm’s skills, he starts to get a little too much of himself and he begins to ignore his friend.

Adventure brings fun on our TV screens, and maybe 30 quiet minutes for parents, on Christmas Day at 2:30 p.m. on BBC One.

And, it has a great cast providing the vocals. This is who they are …

Superver – Matt Smith




Since his stint as the Eleventh Doctor Who, Smith has been featured in amazing TV shows and movies. He was the first Prince Phillip in The Crown and will be seen in the upcoming Game of Thrones spin-off, House of the Dragon. On the big screen, he starred in Last Night in Soho, Terminator Genisys, and is set to be seen opposite Jared Leto in Morbius.

Butterfly – Patricia Allison




Patricia will be known to Netflix sex education viewers as Ola, who is dating Asa Butterfield’s Otis and becomes a main character from the second series onwards. She also starred in the miniseries Les Mis.

Raven – Rob Brydon




This voice will not need to be introduced, despite being a man of many voices thanks to his excellent impressions. Rob Brydon is the Welsh comedian best known for Uncle Bryn in Gavin & Stacey, host of Will I Lie to You and tons of other roles.

And he was also sure those Television advertisements for cruises.

Wizard Lizard – Kobna Holdbrook-Smith



Kobna played Glen in the legal drama The Split and you can currently see him in Ragdoll.

In addition to many roles on stage, you may have also seen Justice League actor Doctor Strange Paddington 2.

Narrator – Olivia Colman



Olivia Colman won the award for her role in The Crown

The outgoing Queen Elizabeth of The Crown, Olivia is known for her roles in The Favorite, Fleabag, Peep Show, Tyrannosaur, The Father … the list goes on and on. But if you don’t know the Oscar-winning actress, you can’t have watched TV in the past decade!
