Peacemaker OTT Release Date, Story, Casting, Episode & More

The first Detective Comics Extended Universe (DCEU) web series, Peacemaker is set to hit your digital screens in January of next year. The series will be the spin-off of the superhero film The Suicide Squad, released in August of this year.

While the film failed to hit its breakeven point at the box office, totaling $ 167 million on a budget of $ 185 million, directors are now bringing DC’s superheroes to small screens in the form of a web series.

Peacemaker is created by James Gunn, who also wrote and directed the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film, Guardians of Galaxy Vol. 3. Peacemaker will be a series of 8 episodes, in which Gunn had directed 5 episodes.


The show is said to explore the origin of the peacemaker and his missions in which the principal does everything, even it costs someone’s death, to achieve peace.

Peace Maker Episodes

The first three episodes will air on January 13, 2022, the episode names are “A Whole New Whirled”, “Best Friends Never” and Better Goff Dead, and thereafter the fourth episode will air on January 20, the episode 5 January 27. and Episode 6,7,8 on February 3, 10 and 17 respectively.

Peacemaker OTT release date

Production began in January 2021, most parts of filming took place in Vancouver, Canada, and ended on July 11 of this year. All eight parts will premiere on America’s leading streaming service, HBO Max.

It is created, written and co-directed by James Gunn, James also produced the show with Peter Safran and Matt Miller, cinematography is managed by Michael Bonvillain, it is produced under Troll Court Entertainment in collaboration with The Safran Company and
Warner Bros. Television Warner Media Direct is the distributor.

The trailer was posted earlier this month on HBO Max’s official Youtube channel with the caption “Give Peace A Fucking Chance,” The trailer crossed 1.3 crore views in just 15 days.
