New ‘Loki’ poster features cute clock cartoon, mysterious hooded figure
May 13, 2021: New ‘Loki’ poster features cute clock cartoon, mysterious hooded figure
A new poster has been released for the highly anticipated Marvel TV series Loki.
The show stars Tom Hiddleston as the lead role of the God of Evil, and we see him (finally) emerge from the shadow of his mighty big brother Thor.
Note, it was recently announced that Loki will air every Wednesday instead of Friday, starting June 9.
Loki: Yes, there are two Lokis in the poster!
In the poster, we see two placements for Hiddleston as Loki.
A small figure of Loki with a wicked smile, both hands outstretched, with an “I am the king” expression, is below.
In the other not-so-subtle central placement, he can be seen much taller in a Time Variance Agency (TVA) uniform, with a piercing gaze and charming smile, probably working for TVA.
Fact: “It’s time to start the countdown”, and here we are!
More characters: the poster features a host of VAT characters
Mobius M. Mobius played by Owen Wilson is also featured. He is a member of TVA responsible for keeping Loki out of harm’s way.
We also see TVA judge Ravonna Lexus Renslayer played by Gugu Mbathu-Raw in the poster, who entrusts Loki with setting the deadlines.
Additionally, the poster gives us a better view of the TVA agent Hunter B-15, played by Wunmi Mosaku.
Miss Minutes: Cute new clock has everyone hooked, hooded figure raises mystery
There is also a little cartoon clock in the poster. It’s apparently a TVA mascot named Miss Minutes.
People are already raving about it, with one Twitter user saying, “I’ll do anything to protect this clock.”
There is also a hooded figure, carrying a lantern, behind Wilson.
It actually appears for a fraction of a second in Loki trailer 2.
So, is it Heimdall?
TVA: Can we trust “Loki” to set the deadlines?
The show will advance the story of the 2019 film Avengers: Endgame.
The TVA organization, which neglects continuity, tries to punish Loki for messing up the various deadlines.
He must now repair them or risk persecution.
This series will be the third of new Marvel TV shows this year after WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
