DC Comics has been around for over 80 years, providing comic book and superhero fans with memorable characters and stories that still exist today. This weekend, DC owner Warner Bros. will be bringing his fans tons of new information, trailers, reveals and surprises in the 2021 edition of his DC FanDome event.

So what is DC FanDome and how can you watch it? Here is the skinny on the virtual event, and what we expect will be revealed.

What is DC FanDome?

The streaming event will feature movies, TV shows, comics, toys, video games and more that focus on DC Comics characters and storylines.

When is DC FanDome?

The event will take place online on Saturday, October 16.

When does it start and how long will it last?

DC FanDome begins Saturday at 1 p.m. EST (10 a.m. PT) and is expected to run for approximately four hours.

How can I watch DC FanDome?

The event will be broadcast on the DCFandome.com website. You can also stream it on DC Comics’ Youtube channel, and you can expect to see the event broadcast on a number of third-party YouTube and Twitch channels.

What can we expect during DC FanDome?

If you’re a fan of the DC Comics movies, you can expect to see a ton of new information, reveals, and trailers for several upcoming films. Here’s what we expect we’ll see:

DC Comics Cinema Movies

The batman

It’s been over a year since we’ve seen the trailer for the upcoming Batman movie. DC Comics has already confirmed that we will indeed see a new trailer for this dark and gritty version of the Caped Crusader during DC FanDome. The film, due in theaters on March 22, 2022 (and later HBO Max) is co-written and directed by Matt Reeves. It also has a star cast, led by Robert Pattinson, playing a version of Batman who is very early in his crime-fighting career in Gotham City.

We also expect to see the first trailer for Black Adam. This 2019 Shazam movie spin-off stars Dwayne Johnson as the main character, an antihero who has the same powers as Shazam. The film will also introduce us for the first time to members of the Justice Society of America in a feature film. Black Adam is set to hit theaters on July 29, 2022.

We might also see the first trailer for this long-delayed film. Ezra Miller plays the Fastest Man Alive again (after playing him in Batman v Superman and Justice League). We know that the storyline follows some aspects of DC Comics Flashpoint’s now classic crossover event, where The Flash goes back in time to prevent his mother’s death and, in doing so, creates new timelines and alternate universes. Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck will both return as their versions of Batman in this film, which hits theaters on November 4, 2022.

More movies

We may also get updates and first images of other DC Comics based films in development. This includes Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, the second movie starring Jason Momoa which is set to hit theaters on December 16, 2022. We might also get an update on Shazam: Fury of the Gods, the upcoming movie starring Zachary Levi as a character. main, which is slated to hit theaters on June 2, 2023. Finally, we might get our first look at DC League of Super-Pets, a kid-friendly CGI animated film about superhero pets, which will be released in theaters on May 20, 2022.

DC Comics TV Shows

Peacemaker

John Cena returns as Peacemaker, fresh out of his memorable appearance in The Suicide Squad, for this eight-part series that will be available exclusively on HBO Max. James Gunn, who wrote and directed The Suicide Squad, wrote all eight episodes of this series and directed five. It will center on Peacemaker, a violent and mad assassin who says he truly believes in peace, even if he has to kill to get it.

More shows

We expect to get more footage from other current and upcoming TV shows based on the properties of DC Comics. This includes shows on the CW like Superman & Lois, Stargirl, The Flash, and others. We can also get updates on HBO Max shows like Titans. Harley Quin, Doom Patrol, and the upcoming Green Lantern series, plus new reveals.
