TikTok has been a treasure trove of illusions, allowing millions of people to guess where an object is, what they see first, or what it reminds them of. This visual puzzle is no different, as it quickly went viral after being shared by its creator.

Read on to see what it reveals and the solution.

Here is the backstory

The old-fashioned image of a hunter in the woods will have you scratching your head as you roam the dense jungle in search of the giant pachyderm. First shared by TikTok creator Hectic Nick, he explains that “only one percent of people can find the elephant hidden in this picture.”

That might not be entirely true, but it will make you look even harder. And when you finally notice it, you won’t believe how long it could take you so long. It’s one of those things that when you see it, it’s hard to miss again.

Here is the picture, and remember, when you see the elephant, don’t spoil it for others.

What can you do about it

If you haven’t found it yet, here’s a hint: turn your phone over. Always not? Alright, here’s the solution. When you flip your phone so the image is upside down, the elephant is in the foreground.

The thin shaft on the left is the trunk, with the two thicker shafts making up the legs. The eyes and ears are the bushes, and the hill behind is the belly of the elephant.

It turns out that it is more difficult for some than for others. While one New York Post reader said he spent 10 hours finding out, another said he saw the elephant without returning his phone. Some people have super vision!
